A revised version of “The Permit” was recently published as an “e-book,” and is now available through major commercial outlets, such as Apple’s iBookstore, Smashwords.com, Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com.
The e-book can be downloaded to commercial e-readers, such as the Kindle, iPad, Nook, Sony, Kobo, etc., or as a PDF (fromSmashwords.com) that can be read on a computer.
The as-published version is about 15,000 words shorter than what was serialized online, and the e-book contains a number of new scenarios and plot elements. Consequently, the version that appeared here has been removed.
A major publisher is currently reviewing the manuscript, and may release “The Permit” in hardcopy-print within the next year.
